The rain slowly dripped down the old farmhouse's window panes. Suddenly, there was a loud thunder clap and Natalia jumped a little. Olivia instinctively pulled her lover closer to her, intertwining their hands and fingers together. Natalia smiled at the small act of love and care and looked up at Olivia. Olivia glanced down at Natalia, asking nervously, "No regrets?"

Natalia shook her head and giggled breathlessly, "Of course not. Th-that was unbelievable, Liv." Natalia saw that there was something wrong in Olivia's eyes. She inquired, "Do you?"

"N-o, no, THAT was amazing. It's just that..." Olivia trailed off, lost in her insecurities. When she saw that Natalia was still looking up at her, with so much concern in those big, brown eyes, she continued, "it's just, uh, that...I am still so amazed that you love me. I mean me, Olivia Spencer. Why did you choose me, especially with the way your religion feels about what we just did here?" Olivia gestured to the discarded clothing in the room.

For as smart as Olivia was most of the time, she sure needed reassurance where Natalia and her feelings were concerned. She couldn't believe that Olivia was still having doubts about her, about them. I guess I'll just have to beat her over the head with this. If it took the whole night, her whole life, she would gladly forever prove her love to Olivia. After several moments of gathering her thoughts and words, Natalia took a deep breathe and began.

"What we just did here, making love together, was absolutely beautiful, and I do not nor will I ever...regret it." She turned to her side and put her hand on Olivia's chest, right against her quickly beating heart. "I love you because of your heart."

Olivia began to speak, but Natalia silenced her with a soft kiss. After she pulled away, Natalia continued, "Shhh...It's not what you think, silly," she said smirking and stroking Olivia's face. "It's not Gus' heart; it's your heart. It's the love you've given Emma...Ava...Rafe...and now...me...God has blessed me with your love, a love that has taught me more than I could have ever fathomed." She whispered, "I'm the lucky one here." Olivia looked at her puzzled but eager as to what she had to say next.

"Your love has shown me many things, Olivia. It's shown me you're patient. Patient with me through all of my running away and hiding from what I felt for you. You've been kind with me, when you could have easily not. You haven't been that jealous and you haven't bragged when I've been wrong. Olivia, you've given me soo much. And, this entire damn time,” Natalia began to tear up, “this whole time, you've seen and rejoiced in the truth of what we were, what we are, and all that we can be.”

Olivia began to cry as well, gentle tears of pure, adoring love for the woman before her. Natalia kissed her forehead and finished, “God may have given me faith. Rafe may have given me hope. But, you Olivia, you, have given me the greatest thing, the best thing I could've ever asked for, love. Love through your heart, soul, and now through your body. Everything in this crazy world may come crashing down, but as long as I have you and your heart close to me, that's all that matters. So, do I have you? Do I have your heart? Because you already have mine.”

Being so amazed by what Natalia had just said, Olivia was just about nearly speechless and could hardly muster, “Natalia, always.”

Olivia took Natalia's face into her hands and pulled her mouth to hers, in a meeting of not just lips and tongues but also of souls. Butterflies fluttered around both women and fireflies seemingly danced through the room. Lightning flew out through their fingertips and toes.

When they finally broke the kiss, Natalia yawned from physical and emotional exhaustion of the days events.

“Geez, my kisses are that boring?” Olivia teased with a smirk.

Natalia chuckled, “No, brat.” She playfully swatted at Olivia's arm. “I need to regain my strength...you know...so we can do that again...over and over,” she mischievously smiled.

“Oh...gotcha...ya definitely...we are doing that again, but yep...sleep is good,” Olivia agreed and pulled the blanket up around them.

As the embers of the fire died out, Olivia and Natalia drifted off to the sounds of the sweet summer rain, both knowing where they were meant to be forever, in eachother's arms.

Dear Santa,

This year I've been busy!

Last Monday I helped pacbox across the street (6 points). In June I had a shoot-out with rival gang lords on the 5 near LA (-76 points). In April I helped mandiloulou see the light (8 points). Last Saturday I turned mac05 in for farting in church (3 points). In March I broke peanutj's X-Box (-12 points).

Overall, I've been naughty (-71 points). For Christmas I deserve a moldy sandwich!
